The Crazy Things We (I) Do

So, I just got back from the rehearsal for Pirates. Wow! It's going to be fun, but a lot of work. We have two weeks until performance, and we haven't even gotten done with the blocking! However, I am exited for what we have done. I get to do some fun stuff. There's one point where I get to swing onto stage on a rope, and another where, after an exit, I am smuggled back on, and hide in a big trunk until my next entrance. Then I get to pop out like a jack-in-the-box! It's sounds weird, I know, but I think that it will turn out alright.

Carmon

So, I just got back from Carmon. It was a blast! The music was amazing, and the actors were incredible. The only thing was that the lyrics were all in french, so it was a little hard to follow at times. Fortunately there were English captions shown on a screen above the stage. Toni, if you're reading this, you'd absolutely love the costumes that they did, everything was so detailed. Also, the scenery was fantastic. there were times that it was hard to believe that most of it was only a painted backdrop. 2D melted seamlessly into 3D and brought me right into the streets of Seville.

I have also decided that I absolutely detest Billings, at least while we were trying to leave. I believe that there is some sort of hidden magnet there somewhere because no matter how we tried to leave, we seemed to end up back where we started. It took us an hour to figure out where we were going, and we only actually figured it out because we broke down and called a friend that grew up there and knew where to go.

Carmon

Guess what? I get to go see Carmon tonight. For those of you who don't know, Carmon is a very famous Opera. I'd tell you what it's about, but I only have a vauge notion. It's preforming today and tomorrow in Billings. I'm going up with a few friends (all of whom are music majors for some reason). Two of my classmates are in the show, so our choir teacher is paying for our tickets so that we can go support them. Isn't that neat?
